This is our family and our story...

My husband and I are starting our new journey and we hope that the things we share will be of inspiration and courage.

My husband is my hero. He is a man of great strength and a never give up attitude. Last year we went to Los Angeles where my husband had four remarkable neck surgeries. In these series of surgeries the doctors removed almost all the bones in his neck . In the front of his neck they put in a 3-d plastic plate and in the back of his neck, a rod and about 8 screws. They attached a plate from the neck to his head which had never been done before. Less than 1% of the population of people in the world ever have a surgery similar or as intense as this. The hospital staff was amazed that this was even possible to do. He has undergone a total of 11 spine surgeries over the last few years.

While my husband was at the hospital there were some complications after surgery, long story made short. He almost died.

I remember my parents coming to sit with me.  The doctors sending us to the waiting room for a time. I remember my dad holding my hand and telling me it's ok to cry. So I cried.

During this journey I never gave up hope, I believed going into the surgery that God would bring my husband through and even when it was looking very bleak, I trusted. The recovery has not been an easy one but each day we both get stronger.
